Hello friends..Haven't blogged in a while...Things here in Northern Kentucky are good. Although it has gotten cold and grey in the past couple of days. We have been quite busy lately with work and our various activities. I got somewhat of a promotion at my job this past week. I will be working another 10 hours a week on the abstinence portion of the center. I will be getting pastors and youth pastors to partner with New Hope in learning how to teach sexual abistenance to young people in their churches. Pretty cool stuff...Most churches are so afraid to talk about this subject with their young people. And ignorance leads to bad choices...hopefully if more young people choose abistience we won't have 15 year old pregnant girls coming to our center!That would be awesome! Scott's job is going well too...It is great seeing him come home excited because he is learning how to bend metal...a little different than me:) In other news, we are coming on our 6 month anniversary! crazy stuff...Overall it has been great..Being married is hard work though! We are really trying to be proactive about it though..we are reading the book His Needs, Her Needs..recommended by our premarital councelers a long time ago...it is interesting how we both recieve love in different ways...and we have to learn how that happens with the other person...Like I feel loved when we spend time together..and he feels loved when I make him lunch...anyway..its eye opening...Our friend Josh from KC is coming into town next week to visit..we are excited because he is our first visitor! We are both taking next friday off and we are picking him up in louisville kentucky so we are going to go to churchill downs where the derby is every year and tour that area a little..if you have ever been there and have suggestions of fun things to see let us know! well thats it for now...hope you enjoyed pictures of our kitty! she is SO cute!
